On Friday 2 May at 5am, six intrepid Warburtons employees will be setting off for a day of cycling around 110 miles from Warburtons in Newton Abbot to Warburtons in Bristol, all to raise money for the Torbay Holiday Helpers Network (THHN). The THHN gives free holidays to families who have seriously ill and bereaved children, recently bereaved families, couples who have lost a child and to families who have a terminally ill parent. It has been up and running for nearly five years, in which time the charity has provided nearly 400 holidays to those in need of a break.
Colin Moore, Christopher Hodkin, Dave Piggott, Simon Gimson, John Anstley and Didier Lebatteux will cycle through Exeter, Cullompton, Wellington, Taunton, Bridgewater, Weston Super Mare and on to Bristol. They are expecting it to take around 7 or 8 hours but we’re assuming that they’ll stop for a sandwich on the way! All support for this great challenge is much appreciated and the group have set up a Just Giving page at http://www.justgiving.com/6warbysride
